Day1-2 Osaka

If you’re lucky enough to travel to different places, you’ve got to make sure you visit the local food market! It’s such a fascinating place, and it’s so lovely to taste some of the local specialties. When you come to Osaka, you’ve got to visit the Kuromon Market!

You simply have to visit Kuromon Market, the amazing food hub in Osaka! This incredible 600-meter-long market is packed with nearly 200 stores offering everything from fresh meat, seafood, seasonal fruits and vegetables to everyday household items. It’s a truly amazing place that perfectly captures the essence of local life! You’ve got to try the famous sashimi sushi and takoyaki! There’s a huge variety of fresh fruits and desserts that are just so watery and absolutely delightful! It’s a great idea to come in the morning so that you can avoid the rush of people and enjoy a better shopping and eating experience. Just remember to bring cash as some stalls do not accept credit cards.

📍 Shinsaibashi is an absolute must-visit! Just about 1 kilometer from Kuromon Market, this is one of Osaka’s largest and most exciting shopping districts. It’s a shopping paradise! You’ll find all the upscale brands and trendy stores you could possibly want, with non-stop activity from morning to night. You’ll find an amazing selection of clothing, shoes, cosmetics, handbags, and so much more! And there’s more! You can even take a water bus tour of the canals and soak up the vibrant atmosphere.

Osaka is a real-life location that has been featured in Japanese anime, and it’s also widely known! One of the most famous anime spots is Osaka Castle Park, which is an absolute must-visit location from Detective Conan! The Tenshukaku (main tower) is the most iconic building in the anime, standing an impressive 54.8 meters tall! You’ve got to climb to the top observatory deck to get the best view of Osaka City! Osaka Castle Park is open from 9 AM to 5 PM, and the best part is that it’s free! The Tenshukaku is an amazing sight to behold, and it’s definitely worth the price of admission! Tickets are 600 yen for adults and free for children 15 and under. The wait time to purchase tickets is about 15 minutes, and once inside, you have the option of queuing for the elevator or taking the stairs—either way, you’re in for a treat!

Day 3 Nara

Next on the list is the incredible Nara! This city was once known as “Heijo-kyo” and served as the capital of Japan long before Kyoto. It boasts an even longer history than Kyoto, making it a truly fascinating place to explore. The incredible Todaiji Temple has a history of more than 1,200 years and is listed as a World Heritage Site as part of the historical sites of ancient Nara. The magnificent Great Buddha at Todaiji Temple is situated in the center of the main hall and is truly a sight to behold. It stands at an impressive 15 meters tall, a testament to its immense power and presence. The Great Buddha Hall is still the largest wooden structure in the world today—and it’s absolutely incredible!

If you’re looking for a truly magical place to heal your soul, look no further than Kamishika Park in Nara! The park is home to so much more than just gentle, cute sika deer that you can interact with! It also boasts breathtaking natural beauty. If you want to feed the deer, we highly recommend that you go further in! As soon as you enter Nara Park, you’ll find deer cakes for just 200 yen on the side of the road. Grab a few and stash them in your bag! The deer in this area are used to being fed by tourists, so you can take your time and enjoy the experience. When you enter the area with fewer people and fewer deer, you can feed the deer to your heart’s content by breaking the cakes into small pieces.
